Update 15 March 2023: It is confirmed – China has started to issue all types of visas again!  Every student and visitor can now apply for a China visa and is welcome to come train with us at Long Tou Shan Tai Chi School.  Masters Luo Meijuan (Mei) and Zhou Dazhu are at the school and available for lessons.  We look forward to seeing you here!

Original post (December 2022): As 2022 winds down and the Chinese New Year / Spring Festival approaches – Jan 22, 2023 – and we get ready to ring in the year of the Rabbit, it’s time for an update on activities at Long Tou Shan School. Our school has, not surprisingly, been very quiet while China has been restricting the arrival of foreign travelers since the start of the pandemic in 2020.  Some of the most stringent zero-Covid rules have started to loosen within China, although so far it hasn’t reached as far as any easing of the restrictions on foreign arrivals.   As of now – December 12, 2022 – foreign arrivals are still limited to those with residence permits, business visas and certain other special categories.

We are hopeful, though, that border restrictions will be lifted sometime in 2023!  We will be posting updates here as soon as any changes are seen in the foreign arrival policy.

For now, if you happen to already be in China and you would like to come to the school, you are most welcome.  The school is open and Masters Luo Meijuan (Mei) and Zhou Dazhu are both there at the school and available for lessons.  Yangshuo is as beautiful as ever, and with the looser rules domestically, things in the town are open too.

Best to all and happy holidays!
